GENERATION 90 CLUB PORT HARCOURT”, hereinafter referred to as a club was founded in 2002 by a group of University of Port Harcourt graduates, and later transformed to embrace graduates from other schools with shared social aspirations, values and vision for positively harnessing our diversities for the good of our society.

Recognizing the need to promote and preserve the unity, peace and progress of the association, as well as enkindle in members a deep sense of patriotism with a view to engendering true friendship.

Observing the need to continue to unify diverse professionals with different backgrounds and orientations who share the common experience of attending any tertiary institution within and outside the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Believing that poverty goes beyond lack of incomes and resources that ensure sustainable livelihoods, and that its larger manifestations include hunger and malnutrition; limited access to education and other social services, social discrimination and exclusion as well as lack of participation in decision-making processes- social injustice.

It is focused on poverty alleviation by way of supporting the academic desires of indigent in society as well as championing causes such as reading competition among pupils across various primary school ages.

As part of strengthening its ideal, a pet project GEEF (Generation90 Education Endowment Fund) was launched to cater for bright and indigent pupils towards furthering their education up to University levels.
Bulk of the funds is generated internally by well-meaning members of the club as well as internally organized fund raising events.

Upholding and championing the inalienable rights of man as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
